ABOUT NRG'S LEGACY 

Welcome to NRG'S Legacy, a space for the community to creatively express themselves and connect with others in a safe environment. We cater for all levels of musical backgrounds from novice to experts. 

NRG's Legacy was founded after the passing of Nicholas Rodney aka NRG, who played a major role in independently giving young artists a music studio space to create and record music. NRG began his musical career in collaboration with his younger brother, by building a production and recording music studio in his bedroom within his childhood home in North London (Tottenham). 

Self taught, NRG become a well seasoned DJ and music engineer working with many London based artists from the local community, some of which are well known within the UK music scene today. 

After outgrowing their bedroom, the studio was relocated into a more purpose built space. 

NRG paid fine attention to detail within the music that was created by him or alongside him, and was always willing to share knowledge. He went on to provide studio time and mentorship for over 20 years of his life. 

In the later part of his journey, he decided to grow a team of engineers, producers and artists which birthed his music management label 'Tacet music group'. He was very passionate about developing artists and creating opportunities for people within his social group. One of the first artist under the 'Tacet music group' umbrella was a young rapper/producer named 'Knucks' (instagrm: @Knucks_music).  

In 2018 NRG was involved in a fatal car accident which was a devastating blow to not only his family and friends but also the team he had developed over the years. Within days of NRG's passing, Knucks signed a record deal, which would have been NRG'S first record deal under his organisation 'Tacet music group'. 

We know that NRG would have been proud of the extent of the achievements and successes of the artists, producers and engineers he had assisted through contributions to the developments of their careers. He constantly maintained a keen eye and ear for new talented individuals to work with and dedicated his life to the long hours in music studio settings. 

'NRG's Legacy' is here to continue supporting, mentoring and developing individuals using music as the catalyst.

As a community-based studio, our mission has always been to make high-quality recording accessible to everyone, whether you're an emerging talent or an established professional.
